BEADLOCK Installation Guide
Important reading on how to use beadlock rings to install and secure beads, along with warnings.
Warning:
* Beadlock-seced tires are not DOT-approved and are designed for off-road use only. Tires must be mounted on the "standard bead seat" for highway use.
* Installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Improper installation may result in accidents, personal injury and/or death.
* A torque wrench is required for installing beadlock rings. Do not perform installation without a torque wrench.
* Beadlock rings must be retorqued and inspected at least every 250 miles.
* Thoroughly inspect each beadlock and check tire pressure before each drive. Do not operate the vehicle if any loose or broken bolts are found.
* Failure to perform any of the above may cause beadlock bolts to break, leading to sudden tire deflation, which can result in accidents or injuries due to loss of vehicle control.
Due to the usage conditions of these specific products, Beadlock wheels are exempt from our structural and finish warranty.
Important Note: Tire Bead Thickness
If the beadlock ring is not properly installed on the wheel, the beadlock pin bolts may break due to uneven force applied to the beadlock pins, eventually leading to failure (see image below). This is caused by oversized/thick beads from larger tire sizes. A beadlock shim (sold separately here) may be required to properly secure the beadlock ring.
Securing the Bead Using Standard Bead Seat/Flange
Install and balance it as a regular wheel using the drop center. It is recommended to use a "decorative beadlock ring" (sold separately here) instead of a beadlock ring.
Securing the Bead Using Beadlock Rings
1. Completely remove the beadlock ring and all hardware from the wheel assembly. Set aside.
2. Install the valve stem using the same method as standard non-beadlock wheels.
3. Place the wheel face up on a flat surface or on a tire mounting machine.
4. Apply tire lubricant to the bottom bead of the tire and the barrel of the wheel. Start mounting the tire by placing it on the wheel and pushing down on alternating corners until the bead drops into the barrel. Ensure the outer/upper bead is seated and centered on the top flange.
5. Place the beadlock ring over the tire and wheel, then align the holes. Starting at the 12 o'clock position and using a crisscross star pattern, thread the bolt and washer assembly by hand onto the wheel until all hardware is installed. Ensure the tire remains centered during this process.

6. After all hardware is hand-tightened, use a torque wrench set to 10-14 ft/lb and repeat the crisscross tightening pattern.
7. Repeat the same crisscross tightening pattern but with the torque wrench set to 18-24 ft/lb.
8. Make a final round pass with the torque wrench and ensure each bolt is tightened to specification.
9. Perform a visual inspection to ensure the ring sits flat against the wheel. You can use a feeler gauge to check various areas between the ring and wheel for verification. If you see coning of the ring or find gaps in any part of the assembly, a beadlock shim (available here) is required.
10. Seat the rear bead by inflating the tire until the bead pops into place visually or audibly. Never exceed the maximum PSI listed by the tire manufacturer
11. After the first drive, retorque all beadlock bolts to 18-24 ft/lbs and retorque lug nuts to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
7. Repeat the same crisscross tightening pattern but with the torque wrench set to 18-24 ft/lb.
8. Make a final round pass with the torque wrench and ensure each bolt is tightened to specification.
